-
- Golf Guru will run quite happily on hard disk. Users will have to copy
- files to your hard disk and add assign statements to your startup sequence.
-
- The main volume name that Golf Guru uses is Golf_Vol:
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- For less experienced users - the assign statement is used to allow a
- volume name to be given a destination. For instance, Golf Guru recognizes
- the volume name Golf_Vol:. To tell your computer where to look for files
- and where to save data you should add an assign statement to your startup
- sequence or user startup sequence.
-
- On my Amiga I store all my golf data in my work: partition and in a
- directory called Golf_Data. My assign statement looks like this :-
-
- Assign "Golf_Vol:" "Work:Golf_Data"
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- The following files will HAVE to be copied to your specified hard disk
- partition and directory :-
-
- 1) Arrays.GGG
-
- 2) Bobs.abk
-
- 3) All iff files on the supplied disk (Example Course)
-
- 4) The Example Golf Course file
-
- 5) Golf_Data.EXA (example data)
-
- The programs and document files will sit happily anywhere on your hard
- disk. The text reader ppmore should be copied to the c directory of your
- boot-up partition.
-
- Golf Guru will also recognise four other volume names. These can be
- used to store separate golf data files. To change volume names press
- Function Keys 1 to 5 WHILST in the main title page. F1 is the default
- volume name "Golf_Vol:", F2 to F5 are volume names "Golf_Vol2:" to
- "Golf_Vol5:". If you want to utilise these volume names then the
- appropriate assign statements should be added to your startup sequence.
-
- Note that your hole Iff files and course files must be in the default
- volume name "Golf_Vol:".
